Saddle Up Your Horses

As I sit and watch our president announce he is lifting the ban on embryonic stem cell research, I want to vomit. We elect a man to represent us that chooses to take the immoral road without educating himself on the truth. Do not just accept what he is spoon feeding us as truth. Not only is he spending yet more money we do not have, but he is showing his morally bankrupt side. Trust me, I believe in stem cell research...after all, Hunter is alive because of a stem cell transplant. BUT, before you buy the argument that we 'need' embryonic stem cell research to cure horrible disease, do your research. Check out what most other developed countries have done, not with embryos, but with the stem cells from umbilical cords from delivered babies, peripherally harvested stem cells from adults, even adult skin cells. Embryos have yielded absolutely NO concrete treatment options(unlike the other avenues of stem cell research). The only thing it has accomplished is to create life in order to destroy it. There is no need to choose this route of research, except to make a point, a very scary point. Since when is it okay to selectively sacrifice a life for the "benefit of mankind." Oh yeah, Hitler held the same moral compass....how did that work out for our world????? This is a very sad day, and a very transparent and revealing moment for Obama and his lack of judgement and ethics. As a country, we elected him, and now we pay the price....not only a financial cost, but a moral cost as well.
